In 2006 the Midwest Archaeological Conference is joining with the Illinois Archaeological Survey in celebrating a half-century of contributions to Midwestern archaeology. The Conference will be held in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois and is sponsored jointly by the Illinois Transportation Archaeological Research Program (ITARP), the Department of Anthropology at the University of Illinois, and the Illinois Archaeological Survey (IAS).

Special events include:

• Friday night reception at the Conference Hotel (with cash bar) honoring 50 years of the Illinois Archaeological Survey and Illinois Archaeology
• Banquet Dinner at the Conference Hotel with speaker Dr. Steve Lekson

Registration: ($10 late fee applicable after September 12th)
MAC Member (before September 12, 2006): $60
All Students (with valid ID): $45
Non-MAC Member: $70
Non-Member Guest with Member: $25 (no late fee)

Banquet Registration for October 14: $28 per person
Vendor Table: $10/table and 1 donated book for student award

2nd Annual MAC Student Paper Competition

Poster Presentations
The standard poster size for MAC 2006 is 48” x 48”; although the backboards are large enough to accommodate larger widths for posters (to 60”) if you find you need more space, the height may not exceed 48”.
